The HENAAC Scholars Program is offered by Great Minds in STEM, an organization which used to be called HENAAC. The scholarship program has retained the same name, but you need to navigate to the Great Minds in STEM website to find the application and additional information. This scholarship program has been around since 2000, and has given out more than $2M in educational grants to more than 800 recipients since its inception.
In order to be eligible for the HENAAC Scholars program, you must be a college student majoring in a STEM (science, technology, engineering or mathematics) field, and your GPA must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. You can attend either a 2 year or 4 year university or college. Extracurricular activities can help your application stand out. Great Minds in STEM is a minority organization for the Hispanic community, so you also must have Hispanic heritage in order to qualify for the scholarship. If you win, you will receive an award ranging from $500 to $10,000, and will also be awarded with transportation to the HENAAC Conference. You are required to show up to receive your award. The application deadline for the HENAAC Scholars Program is April 30th of every year.
