Are you a tribal student pursuing engineering, business, math, science, environmental science or teacher training? The Ford Motor Company has a scholarship for you. Each year, Ford awards up to $3,000 to students who win this scholarship competition based on financial need and academic performance. This is an excellent opportunity for minority students.
To be eligible to receive this award, you must be American Indian, Alaskan Native, or Hawaiian Native, and have documentation to prove your descendancy or enrollment. When you submit your application, you will need to also send along a digital photo, CIB or other proof of tribal enrollment (for yourself or for a parent or grandparent), transcripts, and financial needs analysis (FNA) form. You must also be a full time student, and your major must be declared in one of the fields listed above. The highest priority will be given to students who are attending a Michigan tribal college. You also have better odds of winning if you have strong academic performance to match your financial need. In order to qualify, your GPA must be at least 3.0 overall. Apply between January 1st and May 31st in order to be considered. Good luck pursuing your education and future career as an engineer!
