Are you a hopeful engineer venturing out on your higher education pathway? Are you planning to attend college in Ohio? If so, you will want to apply for the Cyril W. Neff P.E., P.S., Memorial Scholarship, named in honor of a 1923 cum laude graduate of the University of Notre Dame. Mr. Neff received a degree in civil engineering, and started a private practice in 1946. Currently that firm is in its third successful generation. Mr. Neff’s firm is committed to helping young engineers from Ohio to succeed.
To apply, you will need to be a student from Cuyahoga, Lorain, Lake, Geauga, Medina or Ashtabula. You do not need to be attending school in one of those counties, but you do need to go to an Ohio college. To be eligible, you must have a minimum SAT math score of 600 and a minimum SAT reading score of 500. If you took the ACT, your math and English scores need to be 29 and 25 respectively (or higher). Your GPA must be 3.0 or higher. If you are selected as a winner, you can receive $2,500 per year, renewable for up to three years. Only one winner is selected each year, so this is a very competitive scholarship. Apply by December 15.
