Are you a student in Georgia planning to study business, accounting, finance, pre-law, political science, or a government or law enforcement-related field? If so, you may qualify for a COAG scholarship, offered by the Constitutional Officers Association of Georgia. COAG offers three scholarships, one for $500, one for $1,000, and one for $1,500.
COAG scholarships are open to Georgia high school seniors (or students with GEDs) who are enrolled in a college or university in the state of Georgia. In order to qualify, you will need to submit a letter of enrollment or acceptance at a school (which may be for a four year university or a junior or technical college), as well as a copy of your application for your particular degree field. Additionally, you will need to fill out the COAG application, and write a 1,000 word essay pertaining to this year’s theme. You can find the theme on COAG’s website. The annual application deadline for the COAG Scholarship awards is April 1st. Students will be selected based on their merit and need as well as how they express themselves in their essays. Since the candidate pool is restricted to Georgia residents, this is a great chance to win money for your education!
