Are you planning on pursuing a health career of any kind in mainstream medicine in the state of Washington? If so, you may qualify to win one of the PeaceHealth Southwest Washington Medical Center General Health Career Scholarships, funded through the medical center’s two gift shops. Each year, a number of awards are given out ranging from $1,00-$6,000. How much and how many depends on the funds available and how many qualified applicants apply.
To be eligible, you need to be a graduating high school senior who has been accepted to a college, or you must be a returning college student in either Skamania or Clark counties. You can be pursuing any medical degree (it does not have to be a doctoral degree), so long as it is mainstream medicine (chiropractic care, acupuncture, and massage therapy do not count). This award also cannot be used to pay for dental school or veterinary school. If you are not sure about your field, simply check to see if PeaceHealth employs that profession. If they do, your application will be considered. To apply, download the scholarship application online from the PeaceHealth website. The annual deadline for the Southwest Washington Medical Center General Health Career Scholarships is April 3rd each year.
