If you are attending Ripon College in Wisconsin, and you are majoring in mathematics of a natural science like physics or biology, you may be eligible for the Ripon College Knop Science Scholars Program. This program is named in honor of 1942 Ripon College graduate Harry W. Knop. If you win this scholarship, your tuition will be paid for through the scholarship fund.
To be eligible, you need to have a high school GPA of 3.8 or higher and be in the top 5% of your graduating class. A high school teacher will need to provide you with a letter of recommendation, which you will have to submit along with your application and your transcript. The more community service and extracurricular activities you have participated in, the more competitive you will be. You also need to participate in Scholarship Day. If you win, your tuition will be paid for in your freshman year. The scholarship is renewable for subsequent years so long as you keep your GPA between 3.0 and 4.0, remain in school full-time, and continue to make progress toward your degree. The deadline varies; to check this year’s deadline or ask any other questions you might have, get in touch directly with the scholarship committee at Ripon College.
