Are you an active member of the Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A.? If so, the church has a scholarship opportunity which may interest you. This scholarship is available to students in select majors, and awards up to $2,000. If you receive the award, you will also take part in a mentoring program where you explore your professional purpose in life through a series of essay questions. Members of ethnic minorities will receive special consideration for these scholarships.
To qualify, you must be in your sophomore year of college or higher and attending full time. Your GPA must be 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, and you must be pursuing a four year degree. You also must be able to demonstrate financial need. Students majoring in social service, social science, sacred music, religious studies, health service, health science, and education are all invited to apply. The deadline for part I of the scholarship application is May 15th. The deadline for Part 2 is June 15th. This is a great scholarship if you are a Presbyterian with a qualifying major. You can win money for your education and become more involved with your church.
