Left-handed students in general have to apply for the same merit-based scholarships as right-handed students, but there is one scholarship which id specifically awarded to a left-handed student each year by the Juniata College and the Frederick and Mary F. Buckley program. The scholarship amounts can range between $1,000-$1,500.
To apply for this scholarship, you will need to be enrolled in Juniata College already as a junior or senior or sophomore. To qualify, you will need to be left-handed (obviously), and also have high grades (merit is part of the qualification for this scholarship, as it is for most). The higher your grades, the better your chances are of qualifying for the scholarship and receiving the monetary award. You may then use the scholarship money you win to finance your tuition ant Juniata College. Again, this is actually the only left-handed scholarship available (it is something of a common myth that there are lots of left-handed scholarships and other unusual college scholarships). If you are left-handed though and attending this college, you should definitely apply. You are up against a relatively small candidate pool, and the money will certainly help you to succeed.
